Pixsan Digital was founded in 2007 by 4 founder members of the Technical and Business Development team of Echostar Software Ltd. As a software development company, Pixsan has the digital broadcast market at its core. Our principle aim is to deliver our customers reliable deliverables for STBs, iDTVs and DVRs, designed and tested to work for years to come.
Pixsan has successfully developed and deployed solutions for free-to-air TV across Europe as well as PayTV services using embedded conditional access systems from the leading providers.
Pixsan is now embracing new Connected IP standards such as MHEG-IC, HbbTV, DTG D-Book 7 (Part B), UltraViolet and DLNA. Pixsan is actively driving standards and developing solutions in this space.
The head office is located in the scenic West Yorksire town of Shipley, situated close to two of the world's leading set top box manufacturers. Shipley is also home to old Saltaire Mill House, named after the Victorian textile pioneer Sir Titus Salt, and opened on the 20th of September 1853. In December 2001, Saltaire was designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
